A 68yr old female suffering from severe pain and a varus deformity of 20degrees since about 20yrs was operated for cruciate retaining bilateral total knee replacement at arthros joint replacement and arthroscopy centre at sahaj hospital, indore.The patient originally belonging to bina was undergoing treatment in bhopal but considering the severity of the deformity she was referred to Dr.Vinay Tantuway at arthros indore.The patient was severely restricted in her lifestyle involving basic activities of daily living like walking,stair climbing ,toiletting,etc.The patient was brought to the hospital in a wheelchair.
Patient was operated on 20/01/15 for bilateral total knee replacement using cruciate retaining CR-150 implants.The patient was extremely comfortable postoperatively and started walking 18hrs after the surgery using walker. Stair climbing was started on postop day4 and the patient was discharged on opstop day8.At the time of discharge the pt was walking independently and confidently and pain free.
