A 56yr old female was suffering from severe pain and deformity since 5yrs. The pt had supracondylar cortical deformity since childhood. The pt initially had complaints of mild pain and difficulty in ADLs 5yrs back as a beginning of early osteoarthritis. As the disease gradually progressed, the pt’s condition slowly worsened making her ADLs like walking, stair climbing, chair sitting, toiletting, etc extremely difficult. The pt had also developed varus deformity of about 20°at knee. Because of the supracondylar cortical deformity, knee replacement using conventional technique was not possible as it would not allow proper implant placement and joint alignment. Then the pt was referred to Dr. Vinay Tantuway at arthros,Indore who performed cruciate retaining bilateral total knee replacement using CR-150 implant with the help of kick navigation technique. Dr Vinay Tantuway said that it was only because of computer navigation system that a precisely exact placement of the implant was done which led to correct joint alignment. The pt was standing after 18hrs and started walking with the help of walker 24hrs after surgery. The pt started stair climbing on 3rd post op day and at the time of discharge was walking independently and pain free.
