December 9, 2014Compound lower limb fracture with multiple knee ligament injury and vascular complications. Phasic management involving external fixator,surgical nailing and arthroscopic reconstruction of ligaments.
A 28 yr old male met with road traffic accident on 19/12/13. Compound right lower limb # with segmental displacement of femur and angular displacement # of tibia and fibula along with multiple knee ligament injury.

All these injuries were associated with vascular complications.
MANAGEMENT-
The case was managed in choithram hospital and research centre.
PHASE 1-
Vascular repair.
External fixators.
Phase 2: Nailing for fractured bony segments with ligament reconstruction.
U
Phase 3 – Skin grafting.
Followup – 6 months postop pt is active and walking well with painfree and complete range of motion.
